ORGANIZATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES

"Foyer de l'Espérance" is a private social work organisation; it depends on the Diocese of Yaoundé

The administration council carries out the tracking of all the activities of Foyer as well as the
achievement of objectives. It oversees management and approves provisional budget.
There are three meetings every year. Each “Activity Unit” together with the coordinator sets its own programme of activities and annual budget. They also share responsibility for the management.

All the work carried out by "Foyer de l'Espérance" is based on cooperation and dialogue among all our centres. We should also highlight the fact that most of the people who work for “Foyer de l'Espérance” are from Cameroon except for the coordinator who is Spanish (from Arnedo, La Rioja) and Sister Maria Luisa Sepúlveda who is Chilean.

Foyer de Mvolye "Maison Frère Yves"

- 1 Head of Programme
- 6 Full Time Educators
- Volunteers for specific projects
- 1 Educational Psychologist

Foyer de l'Arche de Noe

- 1 Full Time Head of Programme
- 1 Full Time Educator, responsible for workshops
- 1 Part Time Educator, games and juggling instructor
- 1 night security guard
-1 temporary educational psychologist

Wing of Minors at the prison/ Social and Educational Centre

- All teachers are inmates in the same penitentiary institution, they are chosen by the Penitentiary Authorities in cooperation with Foyer de l’Espérance.
- The Head of the programme and main educator from l’ Arche share their time between Foyer de l’Espérance and the prison.
- Some Lawyers and Solicitors sympathetic to our cause participate voluntarily in the NGO framework.

The street and the Listening Centre of Mvan

There are three full time educators sharing their time between direct work in the streets and the Listening Centre of Mvan

Groupe Rahab

- There is a person in charge and a team of volunteers of four to five people.
